It looks like Wave 4 Swap Force Skylanders are starting to show up in stores. At least they are starting to show up at Toys R Us. We were at our local Toys R Us this morning and ran into both Trap Shadow and Freeze Blade. These were the only two we could find. A quick look at most of the major retailer websites, does not yield any results for these characters. So for now it looks like these are only at Toys R Us. Like many of the characters before, these tend to show up first at Toys R Us by a couple of weeks, before they make their way to other major retailers. So if you have been patiently waiting for a new Skylander to buy, give your local Toys R Us a call. Stay tuned here for some unboxing videos of these new characters.Share this article!
We all knew it was going to happen, but the question has always been – When? Skylanders are coming back to McDonald’s. This time the Swap Force will be invading your Happy Meals with the likes of Rattle Shake, Freeze Blade, and even a Chompy. According to the McDonald’s website happymeal.com, the Skylander Toys will be the “Next” set of toys to come in Happy Meals, once the Mr. Peabody and Sherman promotion is finished. Typically promotions run anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 weeks. I think we are on the first week of Mr. Peabody toys here in the states, so judging by the toys available I would guess they have no more than two more weeks to go. Interestingly enough, that would put the new McDonald’s toys out around 3/23/14 which also coincides with the previously leaked release date for Nitro Freeze Blade at Target. So it looks like the new McDonald’s toys are going hand in hand with the release of Wave 4 characters. I’ll be sure to keep you updated as to when the toys actually start appearing in McDonald’s.Share this article!
Lias and I are back for another look at the Arena Battles of Skylanders Swap Force. This time we take on Chomp Chomp Chompies. It’s a pretty intense Arena Battle where you must protect a tower of fruit from ever charging enemies. Coordination and communication are key as you can’t let yourself get distracted from the center for too long. Watch as I use Dune Bug, while Lias uses Roller Brawl and see how we do in this Swap Force Arena Battle.

Watch as Conner salutes in this Phantom Cynder unboxing video. (Why? I don’t know. He comes up with the strangest things sometimes.) It’s also one of his easiest unboxings yet. However, after pronouncing Phantom Cynder correctly the first time he quickly falls back into his bad habit. He also asks a very important question which I can’t really answer.
Conner is in a singing mood for this Quickdraw Rattle Shake Unboxing. He was pretty excited to get Quickdraw Rattle Shake and I guess he was filled by song. So enjoy Quickdraw Rattle Shake Unboxing – The Musical.
Toys R Us is again running their buy one get one 40% off deal on all Skylanders figures and accessories. If you’ve been holding off on some of the newer characters, now might be a good time to jump on this sale.
In addition to the TRU Skylanders sale, all Mega Bloks sets are also Buy One Get One 40% off. This would then include the Skylander Mega Bloks sets.
