SkylanderNutts Presents Riders Republic Beta

SkylanderNutts Presents Riders Republic (Beta)Recently the boys and I got to check out the Riders Republic Beta. Initially, I was intrigued but maybe slightly uninterested when this game was announced. But there is something fun and crazy here that is hard to convey in words and is better to be experienced. Now, after having played this game for a few days, I am eagerly awaiting the release this October. There is a lot of game here, even in the beta, so if you have any interest in extreme sports or multiplayer mayhem, then I highly suggest you check this out!

Riders Republic is developed by Ubisoft Annecy (France) and is published by Ubisoft. The game is currently scheduled to be released on October 28th, 2021 for the Xbox One/Series X/S, Playstation 4/5, Microsoft Windows (Ubisoft Store, and Epic Games Store), Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna. SkylanderNutts Presents Rain on Your ParadeToday we are back to show you a cute little indie game that we played on the Xbox called Rain on Your Parade. Rain on Your Parade is developed and published by Unbound Creations. It was released on April 15, 2021, on Steam, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch. As of the making of this video, the game is available for GamePass which is how we played the game. Check it out!

SkylanderNutts Presents Monster Sanctuary

SkylanderNutts Presents Monster SanctuaryToday I show the boys another game they were not aware of called Monster Sanctuary. It’s a new indie title that has come to GamePass that mixes the look of Terraria, the exploration of a Metroidvania with a turn-based RPG and Pokemon like monsters. I like it because of the deep monster skill trees and more complex battle choices. I’m also ok with collecting different characters you can use in battle. The question is, will the boys like it, and will it fill their Monster Collecting and Battling needs? Watch to find out!

Monster Sanctuary was developed by Moi Rai Games and is published by Team17. It’s currently available for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The base game retails for $19.99 but we are playing it on the Xbox Series X through GamePass.

SkylanderNutts Presents Fuser

SkylanderNutts Presents FuserIn the past Conner and Lias have shown their love for pop and dance music. Whether it comes from Tik Tok videos or Fortnite memes, they have a good knowledge base for some of the more recent hits. Well, I wanted to know if they would have as much fun playing a music mash up game as I do. So today I introduced them to Fuser. It is Harmonix’s latest music game where you get to mix over 100 different songs to create your own masterpieces.

Today I show them a little bit of the campaign and how it teaches you new concepts of what you can do with the music. Then we play a little of the Free Style mode where I let the boys take control. It didn’t take them long before they wanted to control the music themselves. There is also a coop multiplayer mode and an online battle mode but for today we just take a look at the single player gameplay. Check it out!

Fuser is developed by Harmonix and is published by Harmonix and NCSOFT. The game is out now on Windows, Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch with a retail price of $59.99. We purchased the game ourselves on the Xbox One and play it on the Xbox Series X.

SkylanderNutts Presents Deep Rock Galactic

SkylanderNutts Presents Deep Rock GalacticToday I show the boys a new game to be added to GamePass recently in Deep Rock Galactic. This game is a 1-4 player co-op game where exploring the mines, digging for materials and fighting off waves of creatures are your main priorities. By completing missions you can level up your characters, upgrade your tools and weapons and unlock bigger and harder missions. It’s a compelling game loop that is really well done. Check out our first look at this game.

Deep Rock Galactic is developed by Ghost Ship Games and is published by Coffee Stain Studios. The game is out now on Steam, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S with a retail price of $29.99, but we are playing it free through Xbox GamePass.

SkylanderNutts Presents Our Xbox Series X Unboxing

Today we were lucky enough to get a launch Xbox Series X so of course, the boys wanted to do an unboxing video. So here is our first experience with the Xbox Series X.

During the video, I talk about what I think the share button will allow us to do where I thought it would be able to capture larger chunks of gameplay. However, after playing with the feature a little, that is not the case at all. It works much like the old Xbox One but now you can press the share button for a screenshot, or hold it to record the last X minutes as defined in the settings. However, it looks like the most I can record is 3 minutes not at 4K, and only 30 seconds at 4K. It seems initially MORE restrictive than the Xbox One which allowed me to save 5 minutes. There is a feature to allow the share button I believe to start a recording and then press it again to stop. So using that you may get more than 3 minutes, but there is no feature to just press the button to record the last match or last 10 minutes or anything like that. The button simply saves you the time of hitting multiple buttons that you had to do before.
