SkylanderNutts Presents Streets of Rage 4

SkylanderNutts Presents Streets of Rage 4Today I show the boys what an old fashioned “Brawler” is. Of course, this one isn’t quite as old fashioned as they used to be. This is the new Streets of Rage 4, complete with old school arcade beat’em up action! After an initial struggle, the boys seem to really like the chaotic gameplay. Check it out!

Streets of Rage 4 is developed by Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube and is published by DotEmu. The game is out now on the PS4, Steam and Nintendo Switch for a price of $24.99, but we are playing it free through Xbox GamePass.

SkylanderNutts Presents Pokemon Shield

SkylanderNutts Presents Pokemon ShieldToday Conner and I take a look at the brand new Switch game Pokemon Shield! Why Shield and not Sword…well that’s Conner’s choice. There are things about Shield that Conner likes better which he tries to explain in the video. Watch as Conner plays through the intro of the game as I try to figure out why he’s doing what he is doing.

And if you are also a big Pokemon fan like Conner. Then be sure to subscribe as he will be doing his own playthrough of the game. Also, be sure to follow Conner on the Pokemon Amino app where his handle is Captan Alcremie Blogs, and yes, that IS how he spelled Captain. So follow him there for fan art, stories and other things that he does that are Pokemon related.

SkylanderNutts Presents Next Up Hero

SkylanderNutts Presents Next Up HeroWith Lias out on assignment, I take the time to show Conner another cool couch co-op game that I think he’d like. Today we explore Next Up Hero. It’s an action game that has light RPG and Rouge-Like elements. Each “hero” has its own abilities and attacks which you can improve as you play different “ventures”. There is a light story but the draw here is the ability to create your own “ventures”. Conner very much likes to create his own levels and games so I try to show him games where you can do that. We don’t get to a high enough level to show that part off, but this early look will give him and others an idea if this is the kind of game you want to play and make levels for. Check it out!

Next Up Hero is made by Digital Continue and published by Aspyr. We’re playing the game on the Xbox thanks to Xbox Game Pass, but the game can also be found on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Check it out and see what the boys and I think about this game!

Hollow Knight is developed by Team Cherry and is available on the PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.

SkylanderNutts Presents Minion Masters: Forced to Duel

SkylanderNutts Presents Minion Masters: Forced to DuelToday I show the boys a new free to play battle game called Minion Masters Forced to Duel. It uses many of the same free to play structures that we are used to, such as having a battle pass, daily challenges, and many different modes to play. There are a lot of systems at play so there is a lot to go over, but the boys seem very interested and ask a lot of good questions.

Give it a watch and let us know what you think of this game? Have you played it? Does it seem cool? Do you have any questions after watching this video? We have just barely begun to learn what this game has to offer, but so far I’m quite impressed with it. We’ll see if we stick with it for more than a season or not!

We’re playing this on the Xbox One, but it also seems to be out on Steam and Discord, so check it out!

SkylanderNutts Presents Astroneer

SkylanderNutts Presents AstroneerToday we take a look at a game that falls into my genre of interest, a Sci-Fi, exploration, crafting game called Astroneer. It’s much like No Man’s Sky but it has a smaller more curated star system. As we find out today, it has some mysteries to solve as well, even though it doesn’t offer much in the way of story or motivation. Check it out!
