Blackout – Skylander Review

Blackout – Skylander Review

Blackout - Skylander ReviewBlackout is a new core Dark Skylander making his debut in Trap Team. In fact he is the very first core Dark Element Skylander. He comes from the Realm of Dreams where the collective imagination of all creatures in the universe come together to form wonderful dreams and terrible nightmares. When he was young he was recruited into the Dark Stygian, which was a Dragon Clan whose job it was to create nightmares for evil creatures. This was done to hopefully discourage the creatures from any more bad behavior. But the clan found amusement in creating nightmares for others and began to spread nightmares to everyone. Blackout would not stand for this behavior and learned to teleport himself into the nightmares to fight the creatures within. Eventually, the nightmares reached Master Eon who witnessed Blackout’s courage within his own dreams. After helping Blackout put an end to the Dark Stygian, he made Blackout a Skylander who now serves as protector of the Realm of Dreams and beyond.

Fisticuffs – Villain Review

Fisticuffs – Villain Review

Fisticuffs - Villain ReviewFisticuffs was a mystery element villain that can be captured near the end of Level 10 – Secret Sewers of Supreme Stink in Skylanders Trap Team. Once you use one of the Dark or Light expansion packs in the game, you will update the game to know about the Light and Dark elements. Fisticuffs then becomes a Dark element villain and you will need to capture him in one of the Dark traps. He’s another one of those strange villains that don’t really match there element type. When you first see Fisticuffs and his large mechanical fist extend far from his body, you would swear that he would be a Tech element villain. I guess things arn’t always as they seem. In fact, some would say that Fisticuffs speaks softly and caries a big fist. But speaking isn’t his strong suit, pounding enemies into the ground with his monster sized fist is.

Eye Scream – Villain Review

Eye Scream – Villain Review

Eye Scream - Villain ReviewEye Scream is a mystery element villain that can be captured near the end of the Monster Marsh level of Skylanders Trap Team. Eye Scream will be unable to be trapped until you apply one of the Light or Dark expansion packs to the game. At that point you will discover that you need a Dark Trap to capture Eye Scream. Once trapped you will still need to start the level over again in order to get to Eye Scream’s quest which is also found on the Monster Marsh level. She is a rather creepy female monster who constantly complains about her long hair. It’s a good thing she has that long hair because it’s when she moves it and we see her strange eyeball filled mouth then we all scream for Eye Scream!

Knight Mare – Skylander Review

Knight Mare – Skylander Review

Knight Mare - Skylander ReviewKnight Mare is the first Dark Element Skylander making her debut in Trap Team. She also happens to be a Trap Master. Before she was a Trap Master though, she was one of the few Dark Centaurs who guarded the Oracle of Stones. The Oracle of Stones was an enchanted game of Dark Skystones that could predict the future. It was very dangerous because if the Oracle was asked the wrong question seven times it would unleash a terrible curse on all of Skylands. One day it was stolen by an unknown force, and Knight Mare was given the task to get it back. Luckily she found it in a cave where a bunch of Biclopes were about to ask it the seventh wrong question. Knight mare charged forward and defeated the Biclopes before they could unleash the terrible curse on Skylands. Now she is a Trap Master where she helps guard all of Skylands.

Expansion Packs and Some Wave 3 Out Today

Expansion Packs and Some Wave 3 Out TodayDecember 21st marks the release of the Light Element Expansion Pack and the Dark Element Expansion Pack. It also seems to mark the beginning of the Wave 3 release characters. Toys R Us once again will have a temporary jump on other retailers. This morning at my local Toys R Us, I saw both of the new expansion packs, two new mini packs: Gill Runt with Thumpling and Small Fry with Weeruptor, and two new core Skylanders in Cobra Cadabra and Trail Blazer. I did not see the two new core Skylanders of the light and dark elements that were rumored to be out with the expansion packs. However, my local Toys R Us employee said they are expecting more characters on Tuesday or Wednesday and then again after Christmas. There are rumors of other characters that will be part of a Wave 3 release. Be sure to check out all of the possible Wave 3 figures that we have pieced together here. By early January we should see all of Wave 3 characters in stores.
