Enigma – Skylander Review

Enigma is a new Magic Trap Master Skylander making his debut in Skylanders Trap Team. He was brought to Skylands by a Mabu Mystic who one day wanted someone to play Skystones with. The Mabu was able to open a gateway to a nameless place between the worlds and through it came Enigma. Enigma thrilled the Mabu with stories about his mysterious homeland. Unfortunately minions of Darkness learned of these stories and the open gateway, and saw it as another realm to conquer. A legion of minions gathered to lay siege on the open gateway, but the Mabu had no idea about how to close it. With no time to spare, Enigma chose to use is staff of Mystery to seal the gateway forever. This saved his homeland and people from invasion, but it also trapped Enigma in the Skylands forever. This sacrifice caught the attention of the Trap Team who welcomed Enigma and gave him a new home as a protector of Skylands. Now Enigma puts a world of hurt on evil everywhere.

Short Cut – Skylander Review

Short Cut is a new Undead Trap Master making his debut in Skylanders Trap Team. Short Cut made the finest clothing in all of Skylands. His magic shears could cut through any cloth, any thread, and follow any pattern. One day a fleet of skeleton pirates appeared in flying ships. They had just stolen a cargo of golden yarn from some local fortunetellers. The pirate captain demanded that Short Cut use the yarn to make him a magic hat that would tell him the future of anyone in Skylands. Short Cut did not want his worked used for evil, so that night while all the pirates were sleeping on their ships, he snuck onto the ships and sewed together the pants and shirts of the sleeping pirates so they couldn’t fight. Then he took his magic shears and cut all of the sails and wrapped them around the ships which prevented the pirates from escaping. Master Eon found out about his brave capturing of the pirates and offered to make him a member of the Trap Team. Now Short Cut uses his Traptanium Shears to cut evil’s future short.

Head Rush and Nitro Head Rush – Skylander Review

Head Rush is a new Earth Trap Master making her debut in Skylanders Trap Team. Head Rush was raised in a small village that was controlled by the spell of a powerful Harvest Sphinx. The Sphinx frightened villagers into plowing the vast fields of golden grass for his own benefit. None of the villagers were brave enough to confront the Sphinx, but Head Rush believed that if she could somehow inspire her people to stand together that they could fight back. She charged through the village using her mighty yodel to wake the villagers from their spell. With the village behind her, she was able to lead the charge to drive the Sphinx from the village for good. For her leadership and bravery she was made a member of the Trap Team where she now uses her Traptanium horns to take charge of evil!

Bushwhack and Legendary Bushwhack – Skylander Review

Bushwhack is a new LifeTrap Master making his debut in Trap Team. Bushwhack was part of a race of tree elves who protected the Arcadian Timberland. He was supposed to be a ranger but since he was the smallest of his clan, he was sent deep into the woods to study. He studied with the famous Arbo who had helped the Skylanders rebuild the core of Light. He looked past Bushwhack’s size and saw the heart of a warrior. Arbo taught him many secrets and even gave him an enchanted axe. Soon after his training, a legion of Lumberjack Trolls invaded the forest and overran the elves. Bushwhack was called upon to stop them. He used his enchanted axe and knowledge of the forest to capture the trolls and to destroy their tree cutting machines. Bushwhack was rewarded by becoming a member of the Trap Team. Now he uses his Traptanium axe to whack evil wherever it grows.

Tuff Luck – Skylander Review

Tuff Luck is a new LifeTrap Master making her debut in Trap Team. Tuff Luck always had incredibly good luck. Some believed it came from her years of guarding Fortunata Springs which was the source of all good luck in Skylands. Fortunata Springs was located in the Random Canyons, which move without warning to cover the hidden entrance to the springs. Despite this, Kaos’s minions found the entrance and flew in sponge-tankers to soak up every drop of the lucky liquid. Luckily Tuff Luck was patrolling the area and saw the minions trying to steal the water. With her awesome skills and unbeatable good luck, she drove away the minions and saved the springs. She then drank from the springs as was custom for her tribe. That’s when she realized she had a greater calling. She decided to leave her tribe to join the Trap Team where she could help protect all of Skylands.

Blastermind – Skylander Review

Blastermind is a new Magic Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team. Blastermind wasn’t always a Psychic powerhouse. He used to just be the “hide and sheep” champion of the Sardonic Mountains. One day, when he was about to set a new Skylands record, the ground beneath him collapsed and Blastermind fell into a deep, mysterious cavern filled with shimmering crystals. His friends were all at the top of the hole when a large Ham Dragon showed up having been disturbed by the rumble of the collapse. Blastermind felt helpless he worried greatly for his friends and desperately wanted to save them. What he didn’t know, was that those shimmering crystals lining the hole he fell in, were actually Psionic Power Crystals that the Ancients had used to amplify their thoughts. The crystals heard Blastermind’s worried thoughts about saving his friends and gave him awesome psionic powers. He used those powers to get himself out of the hole and to mentally blast the circling Ham Dragon. After that, Blastermind joined the Skylanders where he became a member of the Trap Team.

Thunderbolt – Skylander Review

Thunderbolt is a new Air Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team. He grew up on the legendary Mount Cloudpierce. He was always extremely strong and very competitive, so when his people held a contest for the legendary Storm Sword, Thunderbolt had to win it. The Storm Sword was a legendary blade with the power to change the seasons in Skylands. For Thunderbolt, this would be a great honor to have. Thunderbolt won the contest and was about to be awarded the sword when a Frost Mage stole it and plunged all of Skylands into a wintery deep-freeze. Thunderbolt took up the chase, riding twin bolts of chained lightning. He quickly caught the mage, reclaimed the sword and restored balance to the weather in Skylands. For his heroic actions, Thunderbolt was made a member of the Trap Team and now uses the Traptanium Storm Sword to fight evil.

Jawbreaker and Legendary Jawbreaker – Skylander Review

Jawbreaker is a new Tech Trap Master making his debut in Skylanders Trap Team. He also has a Legendary variant called Legendary Jawbreaker which is sold exclusively by Toys R Us. Jawbreaker began his existence as an ordinary robot. He was one of many robots who operated and maintained the enormous underground machines that controlled and powered the legendary Sky Train which traveled between a thousand different islands daily. One day a large army of Gear Trolls invaded the underground complex who wanted to take over the legendary Sky Train for their own use. Jawbreaker used his massive fists and beat the troll army into retreat. His ability to think for himself set him apart from the rest of the robots. For this, and his heroic actions he was made a member of the Trap Team.

Snap Shot and Dark Snap Shot – Skylander Review

Snap Shot is a new Water Trap Master making his debut in Skylanders Trap Team. He comes packaged with the console versions of the game but not the 3DS version. He also has a Dark variant called Dark Snap Shot which is packaged with the special Dark Edition starter pack of Skylanders Trap Team. Snap Shot isn’t your average Trap Master. He is the leader of the Trap Masters. He achieved this position by being the most famous monster hunter in all of Skylands. Snap Shot is a Crocagator that comes from the remote Swamplands. He grew up hunting chompies for fun. After catching every evil critter in his homeland, he wanted a new challenge. He perfected his archery skills by studying with the Elves. He also spent a bunch of time with the wolves who helped him master his hunting skills. Soon he earned the reputation of being the best monster hunter in the Skylands and Master Eon took notice. Master Eon made Snap Shot a Trap Master and he quickly became the leader of the Trap Masters tasked with hunting and capturing the most notorious villains the Skylands had ever known.

Krypt King and Nitro Krypt King – Skylander Review

Krypt King is a new Undead Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team . Krypt King also has an alternate variant called Nitro Krypt King which is exclusive to Target. Krypt King used to wander Skylands as a spirit of a knight. One day he found an ancient Arkeyan weapon vault. Within the vault he found an extremely powerful suit of armor. When he put on the armor, it triggered the vault’s defense system. Alarms blared and a massive sealed chamber opened revealing a huge army of war machines. Krypt King leapt into action. Using a giant sword that he had also found in the vault, he swung and chopped until the army was completely destroyed. Krypt King realized that he was in control of a great power and wanted to put it to better use. So he sought out the Skylanders and was made a member of the Trap Team. Now he uses his Traptanium Broadsword to cut down evil.
