Chopper – Skylander Review

Chopper is a new core Tech Skylander making his debut in Trap Team. Chopper is a dinosaur but he was one of the smallest in his village. Each year his village held a competition to honor the village idol. One year Chopper entered this competition. Despite his size Chopper wasn’t worried because he had built himself a super Gyro-Dino-Exo-Suit. Chopper dominated the competition by firing missiles, and chomping everything in his path. He was about to win, when a nearby volcano erupted, flooding the village with lava and trapping some of the residents of his village. Chopper left the competition and airlifted each of the stranded villagers to safety. He even saved the village idol. For heroically saving the villagers, Chopper was made a Skylander.

Blades and Legendary Blades – Skylander Review

Blades is a new Air core Skylander making his debut in Skylanders Trap Team . He also has a Legendary variant called Legendary Blades. Blades always dreamed of one day becoming a knight and going on exciting adventures in faraway lands. However, his job was to stay at home and guard the Scalos Castle where the Golden Fear Serpent had been asleep for one hundred years. One night the castle shook and a wave of fear swept over all who were inside. The Golden Fear Serpent had awoken. Blades fought his fear and slowly made his way down into dungeon and descended into the serpent’s chamber. The golden beast grinned at Blades and made him an offer. The serpent promised that he would not harm the kingdom and would go back to sleep for another one hundred years, if Blades agreed to stay in the dungeon forever. Blades realized that the safety of the kingdom was more important than the things he wanted to do, so he agreed to the serpents offer. As soon as he did, the serpent disappeared and the fear lifted from the castle. The serpent had been defeated. It turns out that the only way to defeat the serpent was to face the fear. The news of Blades bravery soon made it to Master Eon who came to see Blades and made him a Skylander.

Knight Mare – Skylander Review

Knight Mare is the first Dark Element Skylander making her debut in Trap Team . She also happens to be a Trap Master. Before she was a Trap Master though, she was one of the few Dark Centaurs who guarded the Oracle of Stones. The Oracle of Stones was an enchanted game of Dark Skystones that could predict the future. It was very dangerous because if the Oracle was asked the wrong question seven times it would unleash a terrible curse on all of Skylands. One day it was stolen by an unknown force, and Knight Mare was given the task to get it back. Luckily she found it in a cave where a bunch of Biclopes were about to ask it the seventh wrong question. Knight mare charged forward and defeated the Biclopes before they could unleash the terrible curse on Skylands. Now she is a Trap Master where she helps guard all of Skylands.

Trail Blazer – Skylander Review

Trail Blazer is a new core Fire Skylander making his debut in Trap Team . Trail Blazer is a unicorn who has a bit of a temper whenever he sees anything unfair. One day he came across another unicorn trapped in a net. This wasn’t just any unicorn trapped in the net, it was the mythical Unocorn. The Unocorn was a magical unicorn with a Churro Horn that sprinkled enchanted cinnamon throughout Skylands. Trail Blazer immediately set the Unocorn free from his trap. Just then the Dark Wizards, who had set the trap appeared. They were very angry at Trail Blazer for ruining their trap. Trail Blazer however, was just as angry. He was furious at the unfair trapping of the Unocorn. Somehow, some of the spicy cinnamon from the Churro Horn had rubbed off on Trail Blazer and mixed with his elemental fire. Trail Blazer was literally set ablaze with fury! He ran fiery circles around the wizards forcing them to run away. Trail Blazer realized that he could use his fiery powers to fight evil so he sought out the Skylanders who welcomed him as a new member.

Krypt King and Nitro Krypt King – Skylander Review

Krypt King is a new Undead Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team . Krypt King also has an alternate variant called Nitro Krypt King which is exclusive to Target. Krypt King used to wander Skylands as a spirit of a knight. One day he found an ancient Arkeyan weapon vault. Within the vault he found an extremely powerful suit of armor. When he put on the armor, it triggered the vault’s defense system. Alarms blared and a massive sealed chamber opened revealing a huge army of war machines. Krypt King leapt into action. Using a giant sword that he had also found in the vault, he swung and chopped until the army was completely destroyed. Krypt King realized that he was in control of a great power and wanted to put it to better use. So he sought out the Skylanders and was made a member of the Trap Team. Now he uses his Traptanium Broadsword to cut down evil.

Lob-Star and Winterfest Lob-Star – Skylander Review

Lob-Star is a new Water Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team . Lob-Star also has a special Christmas variant called Winterfest Lob-Star. Lob-Star comes from an undersea kingdom called Star City. He was the owner and head chef of a five-star restaurant. His food was so good, he even cooked for the King Fish. In his spare time, however, he secretly trained in a mysterious art of fighting that few of his kind had ever seen. He kept this secret for a long time, but one day a giant Leviathan threatened to swallow up all of Lob-Star’s guests including the King Fish. Lob-Star had no choice but to reveal his secret abilities and he used his mysterious training to defeat the Leviathan and drive him out of Star City. Master Eon took note and recruited Lob-Star to join the Skylanders. Now with his powerful Traptanium Throwing Stars, Lob-Star protects the Skylands as a Trap Master.

Ka-Boom – Skylander Review

Ka-Boom is a new Fire Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team . Ka-Boom comes from an ancient volcanic island called Munitions Forge. He and his people were very tech savvy and used to build machinery that was used throughout the Skylands. One day, the ruthless Captain Ironbeard tried to capture Munitions Forge so he could build an unstoppable fleet of pirate warships. With Captain Ironbeard’s invasion approaching, Ka-Boom created the greatest anti-pirate weapon ever created – The Boom Cannon! (I would also guess this would be Flynn’s favorite weapon as well!) When Ironbeard and his men arrived, Ka-Boom was already at the edge of the docks with his Boom Cannon ready. It was smoldering hot having just came out of the fire. One by one, Ka-Boom sank all of the invading ships until Captain Ironbeard was forced to retreat. Now Ka-Boom is a valued member of the Trap Team and uses the Boom Cannon to blast evil!

Torch – Skylander Review

Torch is a new Fire core Skylander making her debut in Trap Team . As a child, Torch worked with her grandfather as a dragon keeper. They tended to a stable of dragons which protected their village. One year they were attacked by an evil Snow Dragon. The dragon unleashed a blizzard that froze her entire village in an ice glacier! Torch was the only one to escape. She immediately went to rescue her village and her dragons armed with her Firespout Flamethrower. She fought long and hard and eventually defeated the Snow Dragon in an epic battle. Once the village was free she returned home looking for her grandfather. But he wasn’t there, he was missing. All that Torch found was her grandfather’s lucky flaming horseshoe. Now that Torch is a Skylander, she uses her powerful Firespout Flamethrower and her grandfather’s lucky horseshoe to battle evil and hopefully one day will find the grandfather she lost.

Tread Head – Skylander Review

Tread Head is a new Tech core Skylander making his debut in Trap Team . Tread Head was an orphan from the Dizzying Dunes who always dreamed of racing. One summer he found enough old parts to build his own bike. He built his bike his way with a focus on performance. Once his bike was finished he entered it into a local race, but the other competitors all laughed at his bike’s design. Since he had built his bike for performance, and not looks, he easily raced to a commanding lead. While in the lead, he entered a canyon and found a roadblock of Goblin troops! In order to protect the other racers, Tread Head pulled off the road and kicked up a bunch of dust that forced the Goblins to retreat. This allowed the other racers to pass safely. Unfortunately for Tread Head, it also meant that he would loose the race. However, Master Eon took note and offered Tread Head the chance to become a Skylander and to race over evil.

Wildfire and Dark Wildfire – Skylander Review

Wildfire is a new Fire Trap Master making his debut in Trap Team . Wildfire also has one alternate version called Dark Wildfire which comes with the Dark Edition of Skylanders Trap Team. Wildfire was once a member of the Fire Claw Clan. He wanted to enter the Rite of Infernos, which was a test of survival on the dangerous Fire Plains. However, he was made of gold, and because of this he was not allowed to participate in the Rite of Infernos. On the nite of the test, Wildfire took his father’s enchanted shield and followed the path the other lions had gone. He found the lions trapped by a giant flame scorpion. Wildfire used his shield to block the scorpion’s stinging tail attacks and allowed the other lions to escape. Unfortunately Wildfire was hurt in the fight, but his father’s enchanted shield charged Wildfire, magnifying the strength that was in his heart. This made him the strongest lion of his clan. Now Wildfire is part of the Trap Team and uses his Traptanium bonded shield to defend all of those in need.
