Trap Team Arena Battles – Phoenix Nest

Trap Team Arena Battles - Phoenix NestLias and I are back with a look at Trap Team’s Arena Battles. Today we tackle the first set of Arena’s called Phoenix Nest. There are four arena in total and we tackle them all in this video. The first is called Artillery Attack. We dodge bombs while we fight waves of enemies. In the second challenge, we play Nest Ball. In this battle there is a glowing ball that we must pick up to get a power boost. If we get hit though we drop the ball. The third challenge is called Birdy Bombs. Baby birdies will pop out of the next in random places and chomp anyone who gets too close. And Finally we play Perilous Perch Skirmish which combines all of the three previous arenas. Check it out and let us know what you think of Trap Team Arena Battles – Phoenix Nest.

Trap Team Mega Epic Unboxing (Wave 2)

Trap Team Mega Epic Unboxing (Wave 2)Well, we knew Wave 2 for Skylanders Trap Team would come out pretty fast after Wave 1, but I did not think it would be just two days later. Most everything was out at Toys R Us on the Tuesday after release. By Friday even Best Buy had Wave 2 items available for in store pickup. (However, the items were not on store shelves when I picked up ours). We picked up everything we could between the two stores, so here is our Mega Epic Unboxing (Wave 2) Skylanders. Hopefully we won’t have a Wave 3 any time soon, so we can get back to playing the game instead of collecting and unboxing. Hope you enjoy it, and look for more SkylanderNutts plays Trap Team videos in the future.

Trap Team Deals for 10/12/2014

Trap Team Deals 10/12Trap Team has only been out a week now but that hasn’t stopped the sales especially at Toys R Us. So here is a look at the Trap Team Deals for 10/12/2014. This week, Toys R Us holds the only sale that I can find. If you buy any Trap Team Starter Pack, you can get any Skylanders figure for free. They show Trap Shadow so it is assumed you can get figures from any game and from any price range. ie you could get a Giant, Trap Master or a core figure. Mini’s probably don’t count because the sale does state a “Single” figure and minis come in two packs. Also at Toys R Us, if you buy any Skylanders Trap Team figure, you can get a single trap for just .99. That seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Also if you are still looking for Swap Force or Giants figures, K-Mart is having a buy 1 get 1 free on figures from those older games.

That looks to be all of the deals this week. If you know of another Skylanders deals this week, let us know in the comments.

Trap Team – Know it all Island (Chapter 2)

Trap Team - Know it all IslandWe’re back to take a look at the second level of Skylanders Trap Team called Know it all Island. However, before we get to the second level we spend about 20 minutes exploring the Academy for the first time. I had to cut out two mini cut scenes during the level to avoid copyright infringement again. It also took a couple days of remastering the video until I could identify which part was giving the problem. Now that Wave 2 characters are out (unboxing video to come very soon), we should start to post more levels at a faster rate. Until then, enjoy this look at Know it all Island.

Trap Team – Soda Springs (Chapter 1)

Trap Team - Soda SpringsWelcome to the first installment of SkylanderNutts plays Trap Team. In this series we just casually play through the game for the first time.

Today we play through Soda Springs (Chapter 1) of Skylanders Trap Team for the first time. Conner and Lias join me on the open mic as we start at the very beginning. We show the intro movie and then tackle level one. You’ll notice that we had to cut the scene out where we meet Sheep Creep. Unfortunately that scene caused the video to get banned worldwide thanks to Activision. So we cut it and now you can enjoy a look at the rest of the first level. We’ll try to post more levels soon, assuming we don’t have more issues with the videos getting blocked, so be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook or follow us on YouTube if you want to get the updates.

Head Rush, Bushwack, and Tread Head @ Toys R Us

Head Rush @ TRUToys R Us sent a special e-mail out today notifying people that, Head Rush, Bushwack and Tread Head were now available in store for Skylanders Trap Team. Apparently these Skylanders are only available at Toys R Us at the moment. But a quick check of the Best Buy website shows a couple of those Skylanders and a Kaos Trap. However they are not yet in stock. So if you really want these characters now, check your local Toys R Us, and if you wait a little while you’ll probably find them soon at your favorite retailer.

UPDATE:

I just returned from my local Toys R US, and they had a lot more than what the e-mail mentioned. I’d say they had the full on Wave 2 Skylanders available early. I picked up:

Lob-Star, Head Rush, Bushwack, Fist Bump, Fizzy Frenzy Pop Fizz, Full Blast Jet-Vac, Hog Wild Fryno, Tread Head, and about 2 more traps per element. Toys R Us definitely has the most variety of single traps. Also, even though Toys R Us is the most expensive retailer, they are running a buy one get one 40% off on all characters, software and accessories for Skylanders. And single traps are buy one get one for $1, or about $4 each. Not too bad of a deal. And in case you weren’t counting, that is now all 5 of the returning characters that have been released. We’re only missing a magic Trap Master in order to be able to play all of the game outside of the “?” areas.
