Trap Team – The Ultimate Weapon (Chapter 18)

Trap Team - The Ultimate Weapon (Chapter 18)Here it is! The last chapter of Skylanders Trap Team – The Ultimate Weapon. We reached our goal of finishing the campaign by Christmas. We’re about to take a little break for the holidays, but we’ll be back soon with a Mega Epic Wave 3 Unboxing, more Arena Battles, Kaos Doom Challenges and a look at each of the four expansion levels, the Mirror of Mystery, Nightmare Express, Midnight Museum and Sunscraper Spire. We’ll also have our Trap Team Cutscene Theater video, some character reviews, and maybe a couple other fun videos I’m thinking about doing. But for now, watch as Conner and I use our army of Skylanders to battle Smoke Scream and finally Kaos! I hope the boys don’t have any nightmares about Kaos coming through the TV or portal. 🙂 Enjoy watching The Ultimate Weapon and Happy Holidays!

Trap Team – The Golden Desert (Chapter 16)

Trap Team - The Golden Desert (Chapter 16)Today we play Chapter 16 of Skylanders Trap Team: The Golden Desert. We make our way through the level trying to get to the Golden Queen’s Lair. Along the way we capture Bone Chompy, and Grave Clobber. Eventually we end this level with an Arena Battle thanks to the Golden Queen, who we will most likely catch in the next level.

Trap Team Arena Battles – Dreamquake

Trap Team Arena Battles DreamquakeToday Lias and I take on the second set of  Trap Team Arena Battles called Dreamquake. These arenas all come from the Monster Marsh level where you fight against the Dreamcatcher in her arena. (Though this is NOT the level you trap the Dreamcatcher.) In these battles the floor will constantly split (due to quakes) leaving areas separated by gaps. In addition, each arena battle we play has it’s own set of rules. We used a couple of mini’s that we only had at level 6 to begin with and found that a couple of the arena battles were pretty tough. After playing two sets of Arena Battles so far in Trap Team, I think they have done a better job of making each arena challenge different and more challenging.

Trap Team – Skyhighlands (Chapter 15)

Trap Team - Skyhighlands (Chapter 15)Well we are starting down the final stretch. Today we play Skylanders Trap Team Chapter 15 Skyhighlands. We only have one villain to catch again in this level and it’s Tae Kwon Crow. Unfortunately he’s another “mystery” villain, so we are not really able to trap him. Also, he’s the second villain to spend the entire level with a different name, only to take on the new name right at the very end. I’m not really sure what the point of that was this time. It at least made a little more sense with Threatpack. I tackle the level with Hog Wild Fryno, and Conner uses Lob-Star. Give it a watch and see what you think of Skyhighlands.

Trap Team – Operation Troll Rocket Steal (Chapter 14)

Trap Team Chapter 14 Operation Troll Rocket Steal Today we play Chapter 14 of Skylanders Trap Team: Operation Troll Rocket Steal. I start off as Gearshift as Conner starts with Bushwhack. After we upgrade our characters a little, we head off to try to find and capture Grinnade and Threatpack. On this level we find that we have a couple problems with the co-op jumping puzzles. One of the puzzles may have also been made harder by using Trap Masters. Give it a watch and see how we do.

Trap Team Micro Comic Fun Pack Unwrapping

Micro Comic Fun Packs UnwrappingToday we open some Micro Comic Fun Packs. As far as I know there are six Micro Comics out at the moment. Three come with Legendary Traps and are exclusive to Toys R Us and three can be found at Gamestop, your local Comic Store and many other retailers. These are almost the boy’s first exposure to comic books. They’ve seen a couple other comic books like Spiderman and the Avengers, but these are the first ones they’ve been able to sit down with and read. Watch as we unwrap them and take a look at everything that is included in these Micro Comic Fun Packs.

Trap Team – The Future of Skylands (Chapter 13)

Trap Team - The Future of Skylands (Chapter 13)Today we go into the future with Chapter 13 – The Future of Skylands. See what Skylands looks like 10,000 from now. I start by using Head Rush and Conner uses Legendary Blades as we try to capture the two villains on this level: Blaster-Tron and Wolfgang. Check it out.

If you notice spots in the gameplay that go quiet with the gameplay audio, I had to remove three songs from this level to avoid copyright claims.

Trap Team – Time Town (Chapter 12)

Trap Team - Time Town (Chapter 12)Today the boys and I tackle Trap Team Chapter 12 – Time Town. This chapter only has one villain Cross Crow, and it is possible to miss him. Despite having only one villain to catch it didn’t seem too short. There are a lot of areas to find, elemental gates, and even a challenge or two, but those weren’t very hard. Conner starts as Bushwhack while I play as Deja Vu. Watch to see if Conner runs through all of the different Trap Masters again and enjoy SkylanderNutts plays Trap Team – Time Town.
