Skylanders DayGameStop has announced that Saturday January 11th will be another “Skylanders Day”. For one day only customer’s can take advantage of some special promotions such as:

  • The first 25 customers will receive an exclusive Skylanders Poster.
  • Free Skylanders Mini for every $20 spent on Skylanders products. (Giant versions pictured)
  • All Swap Force Starter Packs will be $20 off.
  • Save 50% off any Skylanders Accessory.
  • Save $10 off any Swap Force Starter pack when trading in any previous Skylanders Portal.
  • 30% extra trade in credit towards any Swap Force Starter Pack.

There is no mention of having any new Wave 3 Skylanders, but hopefully this sale will also see the release of a few new characters. I think they did this same thing last year right after some new characters were released. For more information checkout GameStop’s webpage here:

Cheap Skylander Stuff at Target

Cheap Skylander StuffI was browsing my local Target yesterday when I noticed that they had some cheap Skylander stuff in their $1 bins near the front entrance. Some of it was actually $1 while a few items were priced at $3. All of them would be great for the Skylander child in your family. Here is a list of what I saw.

Swap Force Starter Pack $37 Friday 11/22 @ Walmart

Swap Force Starter Pack Xbone smallWalmart is getting a jump on the competition this holiday season. Refusing to be out done by any competitor on Black Friday, Walmart is matching competitor’s Black Friday prices one week early on select items. One of those items happens to be Skylanders Swap Force. They will be matching the Black Friday price of Toys R Us on 11/22, meaning that Swap Force for all systems will be just $37! The prices will be valid in store and online. The sale starts at 8AM.

Wii U Console Bundle with Swap Force Now Available

Wii U Swap Force Console Bundle SmallThere is a new console bundle for the Wii U which includes Swap Force. This is the 8GB “Basic” edition of the white Wii U console. What makes this special, is that this edition of Swap Force comes with a new special Color Swash Buckler.  This sounds like another Skylander with a special paint job, which means he probably won’t appear as Color Swash Buckler in the game. Still, for collectors, this is the only way to get this character, and it’s doubtful it would get a separate release.

Now they are running a very specific and limited sale on ONLY the 16.99 swappable Swap Force figures and the 15.99 Giants figures. You can buy three of these types of characters for $35.

Toys R Us is still running the deal where you get the free Show & Go case with a $50 purchase of Skylander characters and accessories.

Skylanders BOGO 40% off At TRU

From October 27th, to November 2nd, all Skylanders figures and accessories will be buy one get one for 40% off. I realize Toys R Us is probably the worst place to buy a Skylander at regular price, but until other stores start matching or having better deals, it’s the only place to go to save some money.

Toys R Us also has had some of the Wave 2 Skylanders available in very limited supply. So if you are looking to find these characters check your local Toys R Us and save some money now.
