Skylanders Sale at GameStop

GameStop Skylanders SaleIt looks like GameStop has decided to add their hat to the Skylanders Sales that are going on at Target and Toys R Us. GameStop is also offering a Buy 2 get 1 free deal on core characters ($9.99) However unless you have no Skylanders, DO NOT take advantage of this deal online. When you order Skylanders online through a promotion like this, you have no control over what characters are sent to you. This is mostly due to the fact that GameStop seems to give each different character the same SKU. So if you want to take advantage of the Buy 2 get 1 free deal, I would suggest you actually go to the store.

Also on sale are the Starter Packs. This INCLUDES the GameStop Exclusive Dark Edition of Skylanders Swap Force. This is the only way to get the five Dark Swap Force Characters:

The regular Starter Pack is on sale for $49.99 while the Dark Edition is on sale for $59.99. GameStop is also offering an additional $10 off a Starter Pack when any old Portal is traded in.

Free Skylander with $59.99 Purchase at Best Buy

Free Skylander Best BuyNot much is going on for sales this week in the land of Skylands. The best and only deal comes from Best Buy. First the Starter Packs for Swap Force are all on sale for $59.99. Second, Free Skylander SprocketBest Buy is giving away a free Skylanders character with any Skylanders purchase of $59.99 or greater. This means if you buy the game, you can get another free character with it. Or if you just need a bunch of new Skylanders once you spend $60 you will get a free one as well. Don’t forget, Heavy Duty Sprocket – Silver is still available at Best Buy, so you might want to choose that to be your free character.

Skylanders Day at GameStop 1/11/2014

Skylanders DayGameStop has announced that Saturday January 11th will be another “Skylanders Day”. For one day only customer’s can take advantage of some special promotions such as:

  • The first 25 customers will receive an exclusive Skylanders Poster.
  • Free Skylanders Mini for every $20 spent on Skylanders products. (Giant versions pictured)
  • All Swap Force Starter Packs will be $20 off.
  • Save 50% off any Skylanders Accessory.
  • Save $10 off any Swap Force Starter pack when trading in any previous Skylanders Portal.
  • 30% extra trade in credit towards any Swap Force Starter Pack.

Cheap Skylander StuffI was browsing my local Target yesterday when I noticed that they had some cheap Skylander stuff in their $1 bins near the front entrance. Some of it was actually $1 while a few items were priced at $3. All of them would be great for the Skylander child in your family. Here is a list of what I saw.

Swap Force Starter Pack $37 Friday 11/22 @ Walmart

Swap Force Starter Pack Xbone smallWalmart is getting a jump on the competition this holiday season. Refusing to be out done by any competitor on Black Friday, Walmart is matching competitor’s Black Friday prices one week early on select items. One of those items happens to be Skylanders Swap Force. They will be matching the Black Friday price of Toys R Us on 11/22, meaning that Swap Force for all systems will be just $37! The prices will be valid in store and online. The sale starts at 8AM.

Legendary Zoo Lou was released today exclusive to Toys R Us. In addition to having a new Skylander to pick up. Toys R Us characters were still buy one get one for 40% off at my local Toys R Us. That deal was supposed to have ended on the 2nd, but at least at my local Toys R Us it was still active. So try to grab him soon or call your store to see if the BOGO 40% off sale is still going on.

Also, today started the promotion where you can get a free Skylanders Show and Go case with a purchase of $50 or more. And still going on is the deal to get an exclusive Metallic Green Gill Grunt (series 2/Giants version) with total purchase of $100 or more. As my local Toys R Us representative explained it to me, you do not have to spend all $100 during one trip. It can accumulate between 10/13 and 12/31, as long as you use your TRU Rewards card. In January, TRU will e-mail coupons for the free Metallic Green Gill Grunt if you have met the $100 qualification. The Metallic Green Gill Grunt is scheduled to be available 1/18/14.
