SkylanderNutts Replays Spyros Adventure (Ch 25 Darklight Crypt)Today we replay the second released Adventure Pack for Spyros Adventure the Darklight Crypt. This may have been the first level with the world switching mechanic. In this level, you have to solve puzzles by traveling back and forth between the normal world and the ghost world. An evil giant eyeball called Occulous has outlawed pies and the ghosts are not happy about it. It’s our job to save the ghost world from the tyranny of Occulous. The puzzles are a bit more involved than in the normal game, especially the lock puzzles which got quite tricky in this Adventure Pack. Check it out!

SkylanderNutts Presents Iconoclasts

SkylanderNutts Presents IconoclastsIf you know me, then you know I like to find lesser known Indie games that are top rate. This is one of those games. Iconoclasts is a fantastic action/adventure platformer with colorful old school graphics and clever puzzles and bosses. I don’t think the boys have played a game quite like this so I’m excited to see what they think of it. Check it out as we present Iconoclasts.

We are playing Iconoclasts on the PS4, but it is also available on Steam and the PlayStation Vita for $19.99.

SkylanderNutts Replays Spyros Adventure (Ch 24 - Pirate Seas)Today we take a look at the first of four Adventure Packs for Skylanders Spyros Adventure. The Pirate Seas Adventure Pack was available at launch and was one of the first ones that we played. I had forgotten how much this level relied on “Card Games” which was NOT the early Skystones but rather a matching game. Lias had fun doing the matching but I could see where this could be tedious for others. Check it out!

SkylanderNutts Presents – Rare Replay (Part 1)

SkylanderNutts Presents Rare ReplayToday I finally got around to showing the boys Rare Replay. It’s a collection of 30 Rare games that came out for the Xbox One in 2015 to celebrate Rare’s 30th Anniversary. Today the game can be found for under $20 and it’s truly a lot of game for your buck.

We start exploring those games today by playing Viva Pinata. Conner was very impressed with this old Xbox 360 game. We then tried out some of the older simpler games like Slalom and Atic Atak which were games I was not familiar with. Then we end on R.C. Pro-Am which apparently was only appreciated by me since I grew up playing that game on the old NES.

Since we only got through 4 games, and there are still quite a few decent games left we will probably take another look at this game soon. We probably won’t ever play all 30 games, but we definitely want to hit some of the bigger games that we didn’t get to.

SkylanderNutts Replays Spyros Adventure (Ch 21-22 and Kaos Boss Battle)Today the boys tackle the last two chapters of Skylanders Spyros Adventure. These levels are a little more focused on the co-op gameplay to get through and the boys are NOT on the same page. They end up getting a little mad at each other before they are able to work well enough to pass the levels. As always though, they get through it, and by the time they are fighting Kaos, they are back on the same page. Enjoy the last two levels and our final Kaos boss fight.

This is Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and we are playing it on an Xbox One. The game is built around couch co-op, so I call in Mom and the boys to help me out. Watch as we (actually work together) to finish off the last few levels of the first campaign. If you don’t have anyone to play with, you can still play the game by yourself, but it becomes much harder as you have to direct an AI pet

It goes against pattern set by the rest of the game but the boys don’t seem to mind. Next, we start our quest for the last elemental source the Eternal Magic Source. Check it out!

SkylanderNutts Replays Spyros Adventure (Ch 17-18)Today the boys play through the next two chapters of their replay of Spyros Adventure. They start by having a tough time with the undead boss battle for the Eternal Undead Source. Part of that may have been my fault as I was dictating which Skylander they had to use each time they died. Then they travel into the Molekin Mine where they actually tackle some puzzles to get some extra loot. Despite having a tougher than normal time with a couple of the puzzles, they fight through and persevere.
