We’re back to replay Skylanders Giants! With the delay of Spyro’s Trilogy and the Ring of Heroes mobile game, we decided we had some time to replay Giants while we wait. Enjoy as the boys and I try to remember what Skylanders Giants had to offer as we play through the first two chapters. Enjoy!
Well, it looks like ToysRUs.com is having a one day memorial day cyber sale on Skylanders. According to their website, if you buy any Skylander at a price you can get two more Skylanders of that price free. This means if you buy an $8.99 Skylander you can get two free one’s but they must both be $8.99 as well. This can make ordering old Skylanders a little tricky since many of them are on sale and are at different prices. But if you can find three that you want at the same price then you should only have to pay for one of them. Pay attention to your cart if you try to take advantage of this deal. In the past from toysRUs I have had to place multiple orders to get a deal like this multiple times. Also, since this is a cyber sale, this means that it is only valid online, so don’t expect to find this deal in the store. It’s still a great deal though if you do need to catch up on your Skylander collecting!
There are a couple of good Skylander Sales for 8/10/2014 for those that either want to boost their collection or even get into the game for the first time. Best Buy has all Swap Force Starter Packs for $29.99, plus they are running a buy 2 get one free on the swap force core characters. They also seem to have a deal where if you buy a Swappable Swap Force Character, then you can get a Giant Character for free. We dug deep in the closet this time to bring out a Lightcore Hex Unboxing. We got this character with the release of Swap Force, but have never gotten around to opening her until now. Conner realizes after this video how the box designs have changed since Giants as the plastic threw him for a little bit of a loop on this one. Once again Toys R Us is having a Skylanders sale with their popular Buy One Get One 40% promotion. This time it seems to apply to all figures, Swap Force, Giants, core characters, triple packs and adventure packs. It does not apply to accessories this time. Also, if you haven’t heard, it appears that Lightcore Bumble Blast is now available at Toys R Us, so if you’ve been waiting for him. Now is the time.

The Skylanders Giants Lunch Tin is on Sale at Best Buy for just $0.99. It sounds like a clearance to me, but either way don’t let the picture fool you. This is too small and the metal is too thin to put a real lunch in it for a school child. It may be fun though as a “pretend” lunch box for a pre-schooler. Just be prepared for it to get dents. Also it can be used to hold a few characters, albeit noisily. Or buy many of them for when they get damaged, I mean they’re just $0.99. It also makes a good item to add if you need to round up your Best Buy order to $25 for free shipping.
