Nitro Soda Skimmer Out at Target

Nitro Soda Skimmer at TargetI stopped by my local Target this evening as there have been rumors that Nitro Soda Skimmer has been slowly starting to show up at Target stores. I’ve been checking for the last week or two, but sure enough my store had it in stock today. Needless to say, I snatched one up! Now I realize that they may not have made it to all of the Target’s stores yet, but if you’ve been looking to SuperCharge Big Bubble Pop Fizz, then you may want to check your local Target. Nitro Soda Skimmer is exclusive to Target (in the US) and is the first version of the Soda Skimmer to be released. I’m guessing that the normal Soda Skimmer will most likely be part of Wave 4 as they have not been spacing the Skylanders and their Signature Vehicles too far apart.

If you thought you knew Terrafin before, think again. The new SuperCharger version Shark Shooter Terrafin has a brand new set of attacks, and because of this, he plays very differently. He’s still the same dirt shark trained in the art of boxing who is the champion fighter of the Dirt Seas. But this time, he’s left his boxing gloves at home and instead he has put on a shark rocket launcher! His earth swimming skills also remain intact from the days when he was a lifeguard so he still has the ability to quickly gain ground on his opponents by swimming underground. However, it’s shooting sharks that Terrafin does best now which makes Shark Shooter Terrafin much improved.

Another Skylanders Day January 9th!

GameStop Skylanders Day 1_9_16It was just before Christmas when GameStop held it’s last Skylanders Day. Well, I guess it’s time for another. This Saturday, January 9th they are having another one day sale. If you are still looking to pick up the SuperChargers game, then you’ll be able to save on the starter pack and like before, pick up a second starter pack from one of the older games for free. Nintendo SuperCharger Dual Pack 02The SuperChargers Starter pack will run $39.99 which isn’t bad considering you get another game free as well. They will also be having another Buy One Free Get One Free on SuperChargers characters and vehicles. You’ll also be able to pick up the Kaos Trophy Cup, however, it is available now online for $7.99. The ad also shows the new Nintendo SuperChargers Dual Packs which will sell for $24.99 ea. Of course those will only work on the Wii, Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. Sorry Xbox and PlayStation owners. You’ll also be able to save 50% off of Racing Packs and the other Combo Packs Nintendo SuperChargers Dual Pack 01(though it doesn’t look like that includes the new Nintendo packs), but they do show the Sky Racing Pack featuring Astroblast and Sun Runner. Legendary Bone Bash Roller BrawlThis evening I visited my local Toys R Us, and I ran into one lonely Legendary Bone Bash Roller Brawl on the store shelf. Now usually I go out on a Sunday morning and find a handful of new Skylanders when they eventually come out. I’m not sure if I missed a shipment or if I just got lucky as they start to leak on to store shelves. Anyway, if you are looking for a new character you may want to give your local Toys R Us a try. It probably won’t be long until their shelve are flooded with the characters as there are typically no shortage of Legendary characters, so keep your eyes open!

Most of the time the best you can do is a Buy one get one 40% off or Buy two get one free, but this week they are offering a straight 50% discount on all SuperChargers Single Packs. This means that characters will cost $6.99 and vehicles will cost $8.49. So if you are missing any in your collection, I would check your local Toys R Us this week. Also, if you haven’t jumped into SuperChargers yet, the starter packs will almost be half off and sell for $39.99. If you are looking for a Wii U and Skylanders, you can buy the Mario Kart 8 version of the Wii U for $299 and get the Wii U SuperChargers Starter Pack for free. That’s not a bad deal if you are looking for a Wii U.
