Today the boys wanted to try out Boom Bloom, so I thought we would play through the Enchanted Elven Forest Adventure Pack for Skylanders Imaginators. Of course because Boom Bloom is new, she doesn’t last long and the boys switch through some of our other newer Skylanders to play this level. Enjoy our first play of the Enchanted Elven Forest.

Today we take a look at Racing inside Skylanders Imaginators. If you don’t know, last years game was centered around the SuperChargers and their vehicles. It turns out, that in order to race in Imaginators, you don’t need a SuperChargers character or a vehicle. You can race any of the basic 12 race tracks with a free “instant” vehicle. However, if you do have a SuperCharger vehicle, you can put that on the portal to unlock that vehicle for this game. From the looks of it, you can also put one of the racing packs on the portal to unlock potentially more courses and the villain vehicles. We may test this in a future episode.

Today the boys get back to the main game of Skylanders Imaginators and take on Chapter 8 – The Dragon Temple. Here they will face the Bowslinger Doomlander. They start off again by using some of the newly released Skylanders, but eventually have to go back to some of the higher level characters to finish off the level.

Today the boys explore the Air and Dark Sensei Realms for Skylanders Imaginators. They start off by using some of the new but weaker Skylanders we just unboxed. Eventually though they do need to put some of their favorites on the portal. These levels seem a little larger than previous ones with slightly tougher battles. The boys are also exploring a little more and they almost earn all three stars on one of the levels. Enjoy as they play through the fifth and six Sensei Realms!

Today we decide to check out the Thumpin Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack for Skylanders Imaginators. We got ours with the special Crash Edition Starter Pack for the PS4. However, it is now starting to show up on store shelves for the holidays as a stand alone add-on. You can play it on any system.
This level seems to take slightly more co-operation than other levels and the boys are not in a very co-operative mood today. They get a little annoyed at each other during certain challenges. It’s pretty much what you’d expect a couple of competitive brothers to do.

Today we thought it was time to try out the Arena in Skylanders Imaginators! The Arena has always been a good way to level up your characters quickly. Since we have quite a few Imaginators that need some leveling the boys decide to jump into the Arena and test their skill. They end up getting through the first six levels of the arena, and the arena doesn’t seem as tough as it has been in the past. We’ll probably do this again in the future and see how many more levels they can get through.

Today the boys continue the story by playing Chapter 7 – The Golden Arcade in Skylanders Imaginators. But first they need to play a little Creation Clash to unlock the level. Chapter 7 is then full of a bunch of carnival style mini-games. It also includes a little bit of that 2-D side scrolling gameplay they seem to squeeze into every game now. It’s only a very small portion of the level so I wonder if we’ll see any more of that style of a level later?

Today the boys play through two more Sensei Realms in Skylanders Imaginators. They play through the Undead Realm, and the Tech Realm. Then, in a bit of random luckiness they attack a rat and find the secret Rat Kingdom. Watch as they play through all three levels.

Today in our play of Skylanders Imaginators, we figure out that the Guacamole Monster fight was not it’s own level. At least it’s not a level with stared objectives. So today the boys (Lias) fight the Guacamole Monster before moving on to Chapter 6: Fizzland. It’s a pretty interesting level where you have to switch the world between Fizz World and Normal world. It’s very similar to the Williken Village level from I think Skylanders Giants. This means that it has some interesting puzzles but it also means the boys really don’t explore the level very well as that would require the boys to explore both worlds.

Today the boys play Chapter 5: Sky Fortress for Skylanders Imaginators. They also do a little more exploring of the M.A.P. since the new level is in a newly unlocked section. As they play the level today they reach level 6 with their Imaginators so they both take some time to put on better equipment which they can now use. We end the video shortly after they earn their level stars even though it appears that there is an upcoming battle with the Guacamole Monster. We will wait until next time for that battle since it looks like it might be it’s own separate level. Enjoy watching Sky Fortress.
