Today the boys begin with a boss fight. Sure enough, Conner was right. When we unlock the door with the six collected Talismans, we end up entering Cursh’s Dungeon for a battle with Crush. Once the boys deal with him, they enter a new land called Autumn Plains. However, instead of exploring the new land, the boys just get right to business by going into the first two doors they see. So today we also play through Crystal Glacier and Skelos Badlands. Check it out!

Today the boys play the last two levels they have found in the Summer Forest world. After finding the talismans in both levels they should have enough to open the locked door. However, instead of just going straight for the talismans, the boys get hooked on trying to earn extra orbs. Watch and see how they do as they play through Hurricos and the unlocked Aquaria Towers.

Today I show the boys a new Strategy RPG called Wargroove. It borrows heavily from the classic Nintendo DS game called Advance Wars, but it does add a little more. The game offers its own map editor, campaign editor, and cutscene editor. Enough for users to make their own games. Check it out as I show the boys a level and then we play around a little bit in the editors.

Last week, I didn’t like the Go Pro we used as our main camera, so today we’re back to a normal non-fish-eyed view. The boys continue their game of Ripto’s Rage by playing through the Colossus and Sunny Beach levels. Lias finds a hockey mini-game and won’t quit until he masters it. The inclusion of a hockey mini-game is enough to make us claim that this is the best Spyro game of all time. Enjoy!

Here you go. Here is the Cutscene Theater for Skylanders Giants. This is my way of telling the Giants Story, in case you want to relive just the story parts of the game. This is not supposed to be a comprehensive collection of all of the dialogue in the game, it’s just the story as I played it. I cut out some parts like most of the conversations with Auric, but I left in the characters that want to play Skystones and those that tell me about hats. That said, I didn’t talk to every character that tells you about a hat, so they all won’t be in there. I also cut out the enemy intros, since you can get those in my All Bad Guys and Bosses for Skylanders Giants. Enjoy this recap of the story of Skylanders Giants, as I have played the game!

We quickly find out that the gems are more important in this game because we will need them to buy new abilities. It doesn’t take long, but the boys already seem to like this game better than the first. Check it out!

Today I show the boys Celeste, an action puzzle platformer that won the hearts of many gamers in 2018. It’s an indie developed game that garnished a lot of positive reviews and many “End of the Year” awards and honorable mentions. The problem with a game like this is that, despite all of the positive attention, many gamers still haven’t heard of it or tried it. Neither of my boys had heard of the game, but I thought it might be something they would like. So today I let Conner play and figure out the first level of Celeste. Check it out! We are playing on the Xbox One, where it is a free “Games With Gold” game for January 2019.

Here we go, this is always one of my favorite videos to make. This is a compilation of all of the named and announced bad guys of Skylanders Giants. I also put in this time, the major talking bosses. There is also one enemy that is not named or announced by the announcer, and one enemy the announcer slightly announces wrong. So enjoy this video of all of the Bad Guys and Bosses of Skylanders Giants!
