Slay the Spire is a new card combat game which has finally come to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. That means it’s a perfect game for me to show the boys. I’m a big fan of card games, card combat games, and roguelikes, and this game brings all of those together. This game has been very popular on Steam and the Nintendo Switch but will it find an audience on the Xbox? I like it, but I want to see if the boys like it or find it too complicating or boring.
Slay the Spire is developed by MegaCrit and published by Humble Bundle. It came out in early access in November of 2017 but finally was released in Jan 2019 on the PC. It later came to the PS4 in May, Switch in June, and finally Xbox in August. We are playing it on the Xbox through Xbox Game Pass.
