Skylanders Day at GameStop 6/21
There is going to be another Skylanders Day at GameStop coming this Saturday June 21st. This means that single character packs will be buy one get one free. Also, all starter packs will be 50% off, including the GameStop exclusive Dark Starter Packs. GameStop also is giving away the Swap Force Skylander Wind-Up with pre-orders of Skylanders Trap Team ONLY on the 21st. He was a pretty cool figure previously only available in the Tower of Time Adventure Pack. He has just been released in a single pack. I don’t know if you will get Wind-Up on the 21st or have to wait until you pick up your pre-order. For more information check out GameStop’s ad here.

Jawbreaker Revealed
Jawbreaker revealed today by Activision at E3. This new Tech Trap Master fights with huge Traptanium gold fists. He looks sort of like a larger more powerful version of Stump Smash. Visit his character page for more details as we get them.

Krypt King Revealed
Activision revealed another new Trap Master at E3 called Krypt King. This Undead Skylander has a huge blade and apparently also spits bugs! Ewww. Can’t wait to see that. Here are his starting card stats. Note: they are out of a possible 250 this time which means the level cap has been raised to 25.

Gearshift Pre-Order Available Now!
Skylander fans! A new Trap Master is available for Pre-order. Gearshift pre-orders are available now at least through Amazon.com and Best Buy. Check your favorite retailer to see they are offering a pre-order. You might think, why would I need to pre-order a Skylander, I’ll just pick her up when she is released? Well, it seems like they are toying with some new ideas at Activision. Gearshift is not scheduled to be released until 2015. However, if you pre-order her now, you are guaranteed to receive her on October 5th, the same day Trap Team is released. There is only a limited number of Gearshift figures that will be released for pre-order for the release of Trap Team. So if you think you want to play with this Tech Skylander sooner than later, you’ll probably want to make sure you get in on the pre-order as soon as possible.

Vote for a New Skylander
Well it’s time for more Frito-Lay contest news. Earlier we told you about the contest for submitting new Skylander names for three possible new Skylanders figures. We now know these figures will be part of the Trap Team release, though, these do not appear to be Trap Masters. It looks like one will just be a new core Skylander for the game. Well the names have been chosen and now it’s time to vote for your favorite character. Personally, I’m a little disappointed in the names. I saw better names floating around various message boards. I’m not sure if they were just never submitted or what. I know that we never got around to submitting names, so maybe people just didn’t have enough faith in themselves. Regardless, ONE of these names will be your next new Skylander. So now, do you vote for your favorite character? Or your favorite name? It’s tough, but let your voice be heard. Head on over to Frito-Lay and submit your vote.

It also unlocks new arenas to battle in. The pack comes with Thorn Horn Camo, and Grim Creeper, and I believe it is the only way to get Thorn Horn Camo at this time.
